Sky Sports is looking for the greatest fans in the land

The 92 is an exciting new football fan site that offers you the opportunity to prove that your club has the best fans in the land.

It enables supporters to compete directly with fans from other clubs by uploading images and submitting their comments to The 92.

Every week, our boss - The Gaffer - judges the material, gets the best stuff up on the site and awards points to the fans who sent it in. That means any club can go top of the league, no matter how your team are actually doing on the pitch.

If you're sending the best stuff in, then you'll be top of the table. And the team whose supporters are top at the end of the season will be crowned the greatest fans in the land.

How often does your club get a second opportunity to win the league?

So read on and get ready to start sending stuff in.

How do I get involved?

The first thing to do is register, so here's how to become a part of The 92 revolution.

How do I register?

Registering for the site couldn't be easier. It's also important because without doing it, you can't send us any pics or comments.

Just go to the home page and click on the 'register' link at the top.

That takes you through to our registration page where we'd like you to fill in your name, email address and, crucially, your team. Let's face it, you wouldn't want to forget that bit!

Ticking the box at the bottom means we can contact you about the site and keep you updated with all things The 92.

And that's it. Now you're officially involved and part of the most exciting football fan site on the web.

Let the banter commence.

How do I send in material?

It doesn't get much easier.

You've registered, so the next thing to do is sign in. There's a link at the top of the homepage for this.

The easiest way to submit content to The 92 is to visit The Wall where there are upload buttons for your images and comments.

Once you've signed in, you're ready to start uploading content.

As simple as hitting a barn door from six yards.

What kind of material can I send in?

Well, the first thing to say is that we can't put up any dodgy material. So please don't send us anything X-rated because we won't have it on the site. That doesn't mean you can't push the boundaries a bit, but please don't send in violent or sexual content.

We're looking for anything that captures your passion for the beautiful game, so get creative.

We want anything that is important to you. Anything that makes you laugh. It's your site, so send us the stuff you want to see on there.

That can be pictures from you in the car on the way to a match or at the ground, any funny pictures of weird and wonderful sights you've seen, silly texts from mates - anything you want that relates to you and your match day experience.

One final thing to remember - for the time being we can't publish any photos taken inside the stadium. So no matter how great your pictures are once you're through the turnstiles - please don't send them in.

How do you decide what material to put on the site?

That's where The Gaffer comes in.

Who is The Gaffer?

The Gaffer is the boss at The 92. He's a hard bloke to describe......we reckon about 50 but haven't got the guts to ask.

He's English but claims to have managed a 'top-level European club'. Possibly somewhere in Sweden. We're not sure.

Over six foot for definite and pretty solid, he's not one to be messed with. But he's normally very, very calm and quiet.

Normally.

Anyway, The Gaffer (as everyone knows him) makes the decisions round here. When you send in material, he's the one that will judge how good it is and whether it goes up on the site. He'll make comments when he feels like it. That's just the way he rolls. He writes blogs for your indulgence, has a go at the fans who aren't pulling their weight and might even give a bit of praise to those of you who send in the good stuff. If you're lucky.

And the most important thing of all is the points The Gaffer will award, but read on for more on that.

The Gaffer is....well.....The Gaffer. And that's just the way he likes it.

You can email him at: thegaffer@The92.co.uk

How are points awarded?

That's also very much up to The Gaffer. It's his job.

Every week fans will go up against fans from the team their side is facing in the league. So if Lincoln are playing Bury, it will be a direct competition between Lincoln fans and Bury fans. Points will be awarded to the winner of each fixture. So if Lincoln fans send in great pictures and Bury fans have been a bit lame, then The Gaffer will award three points to Lincoln. So even if Lincoln lose in the league, the fans can still win their fixture.

Just like the real thing, we'll be awarding one point for a draw and no points if you lose. Obviously.

It's nothing to do with quantity remember. Just because one club has more fans than another doesn't mean they will be top of the table. A few choice photos that really hit the spot can win you the points.

As the saying goes, it's quality, not quantity.

How do I find content?

Ok, the first place to look would be your club page. Go to the 'club' link at the top and have a look on your team's page. If The Gaffer likes your images or content then it will most likely feature there.

If you've sent in a specific picture or comment to do with the theme of the week e.g. best club pie, then it could also be placed with all the other relevant content from The 92's user base.

If it's really good then it might even be featured in The Gaffer's blog. So have a look there as well.

Oh, but keep one thing in mind. If you send in stuff that's rubbish. And we mean REALLY rubbish, then we could decide to shame you on the site.

There's nothing better than a bit of healthy naming and shaming is there?

When will my content be uploaded?

The Gaffer likes his golf. He really does. But when we drag him off the course he'll sort through all the stuff you've sent in.

That means that daily a whole new raft of material will be uploaded onto the site for you to feast your eyes on.

Remember, rubbish material could well result in naming and shaming.

Will you use my photos for anything else?

For any legal query, have a look at the full terms & conditions section.

You do need to be over 13 to use the site, and if you're between 13 and 18 then you need to have your parent or guardian's permission. That's just the way it is.

You must make sure that anyone who appears in a photograph you want to send to us has given you their permission to do so. This is absolutely vital and it is the responsibility of the sender to obtain this permission.

Please only send in material that you have shot or written yourself. And also be aware that it is impossible for us to publish every piece of content we receive. Much as we'd like to!

If you see any content on the site that you're unhappy with then report it by clicking on the 'report abuse' link. We'll then take it down as soon as possible if The Gaffer feels that people are not playing by the rules.

I'm having problems - who can I contact at The 92?

No worries. If you've got any questions about the site or are struggling to upload any material then send us a quick email on: help@The92.co.uk

We'll get back to you as soon as we can.

Any general queries should go to: messages@The92.co.uk
